The route of the spectacular trail running stage race runs in 7 days from Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the foot of the Zugspitze over the main Alpine ridge to Lake Reschen in South Tyrol. With 271 kilometers and around 17,000 meters of elevation gain, the TAR 2024 is considered one of the most challenging in its long history.

The 2023 Salomon Zugspitz Ultratrail powered by Ledlenser is the biggest trail run event in Germany. The ZUT will take place from June 13 to 15, 2024, around Germany’s higest mountain, the Zugspitz. With 6 routes to choose from, varying in distance from 14 km to 111 km, it is expected that up to 4,000 runners from all over the world will attend.

Schlegeis Reservoir lies at an altitude of 1,800m between the holiday regions of Mayrhofen-Hippach and Tux-Finkenberg, surrounded by the famous 3,000m summits of the Zillertal Alps.
